Chicago High School Edition - March 25 - April 02, 2022

Westlake High School

  Director Notes

Notes from the Director

What an adventure this show has been! From not knowing if we would have to sing and dance in masks, to microphone mayhem, and scheduling conflicts that took us off the stage and into the classroom for much of our rehearsal time, it is a blessing to be presenting this performance of Chicago High School Edition to you tonight!

The hours of preparation that go into a production of this magnitude are astounding. I am so proud of this bunch of kids, many of whom are brand new to our program, for pulling together despite the odds to make it happen!

Shout out to our lone senior, Mae Simoneau, who took a chance on theatre this year and joined us for both shows. Thank you and we wish you all the best next year!!

I want to thank you for coming out to support high school theatre, we were greatly affected by the pandemic as you can imagine, and are in a rebuilding phase, so your support means the world to us!
