Disney's Moana Jr - May 04

Waverly Middle School

 End Notes

Notes from the Director:

My first show with Waverly Theatre Company was Alice in Wonderland JR. I instantly fell in love with being on the stage and creating a story for the audience. Theatre has been my passion since day one and I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow by taking charge behind the scenes; my appreciation for the directors I have had the privilege of working with in the past has increased tremendously. I am so incredibly proud to be involved with this production in such an intricate way. These children are goofy, talented, and determined to make their craft the best it can be. This show could not have been done without them and I can not thank them enough for their hard work and dedication. It is inspiring to see them discover who they are by completing the same milestones I did in middle school theatre. This has most definitely been one of my favorite experiences with WTC; it is one that I will not take for granted. Thank you all, I cannot wait to see how far you go!

Notes from the Assistant Director:

As Moana goes through her adventure she is told over and over that nothing is wrong or that she is not strong enough to succeed. I know as these middle school students go through life they will be told similar things. But based on their perseverance throughout this show, I know that they will act as Moana does, pushing on and creating new things and new Islands. It has been a pleasure to get to know the middle schoolers and I can’t wait to see where their talents take them. Whether it is on the stage or in the tech booth, I know they will accomplish a lot.
