Director's Note
Hello, and welcome to Oxbridge Academy! My name is Andrew Gilbert and I am Oxbridge's new theatre teacher. I am beyond thrilled to welcome you to my very first musical production at this incredible school, and it is a fun one!
When I first arrived this fall, our students had a very clear vision for their program. They wanted a bright, fun, welcoming, inclusive, and safe space to explore the things they loved. And, they wanted to put up a show that would encapsulate all of those ideas into one gigantic celebration. This production was the perfect choice to do just that! They came to me with their vision, fought for it, I promised I would fight with them until we had something so special, it would change the trajectory of Oxbridge Theatre. They have done that here and I couldn't be more proud!
To the Oxbridge seniors, I only wish we could have more time to create together, you are guys are absolutely amazing and you have treated me like family from day one. Truly acting out the exact thing you wanted to see in your department. Congratulations!
So, without further ado, please sit back and relax as we take you to a quaint and quiet Greek island turned into an Abba concert and party destination! The Summer Night Taverna awaits. Mamma Mia, here we go again!
