Let me start off by saying how deeply my heart broke when I found out that the Litton Family wasn’t going to do a show this year. They were truly a legacy and they gave me some of my most cherished moments as an actor. They also gave me my most favorite moment as a spectator of South Pacific.
It has been an honor and such a joy to be able to be involved in the process of continuing the magic of the Outlaw Trail Theater. My first show was an OTT show 30 years ago, which was also the first show at the amphitheater at the Western Park. That show was also choreographed by Miss Taunia. It has been such a joy to be able to collaborate with her and be able to create something so extremely beautiful. The whole process has felt like Kismet.
I feel extremely blessed to have be able to witness how well this has come together and how easy it has been to love the people involved in the show. Here’s to another 30 years of Broadway Under the Stars.

To begin with I would like to thank Jay Haslem for taking on the responsibility of producing this show. He has done an amazing job. This production of Hello Dolly has been an absolute privilege to direct. Co-directing with Andrew has made a memory I will never forget and will treasure forever.
The cast and crew of this production are incredible people. The rehearsals have been filled with love, laughter and friendships that will last forever. There has been such a positive energy throughout all the weeks of rehearsal it has been a pleasure to co-direct and choreograph this show.
Someone asked me once what I love to do that just made my heart “sing”. Well, it’s theater. I love every aspect of it. Theater always makes my heart sing… and it also makes it dance. Outlaw Trail Theater is really just a little bit of Broadway under the stars.
Thank you for coming I know you’ll enjoy the show.
Sincerely,
Taunia Wheeler
