The Wizard of Oz (RSC 1987) - April 07 - April 09, 2022

Macomb High School

 Directors' Note

Dorothy dreams of returning home, the Scarecrow dreams of getting a brain, the Tinman dreams of obtaining a heart, and the Lion dreams of possessing courage. You are watching a production months in the making that represents all the attributes these characters are seeking—the intelligence, passion, and tenacity of a huge group of people who have become a community! We could not be more proud of our amazing cast and crew. Watching these kids discover new talents, share laughs, and work together as a team has been a bright light for us. There is no denying the excitement that we feel for the production they are bringing to you.

The Wizard of Oz is possible because of the commitment of our supportive community. From the generous donations of individuals to grants from institutions like the Performing Arts Society and Macomb Choir Boosters, our students have been given an experience like no other because of your support.

Today you’ll watch our cast of characters achieve their dreams (well, maybe not the Wicked Witch), and we know that this production realizes our dream of bringing musical theater back to Macomb High School!

Thank you for joining us on our journey “to Oz!”
