LCC THEATRE STUDENTS: Their spirit and care for one another give deeper, more resonant value to our theatre-making process. Our shows over the past seven years have been springboards for their journey into creative challenges, growth, and achievement. I am profoundly proud of them.
STUDENT CREATIVE TEAM: This show’s process was made more collaborative, organized, and creatively charged thanks to the outstanding work of Alana Wright (stage manager), Darby Gallagher (student director), Ethen Menendez and Connor Fine (honorary technical directors), Josie Amberg (house manager), plus the many student choreographers; a “dream team” for whom I am honored and grateful to work alongside.
STUDENT TECHNICIANS: Theatre is impossible without the behind-the-scenes work of the technical crew. To all the Stagehand Tech students and LCC Theatre Technicians who gave their time and talent to this production, thank you!
CRAIG JOHNSON (Music Director): Craig has been an inspiration this entire year as we created two productions together: “We Tell The Story” and “The Fantasticks.” He’s a gifted music director and a wonderful person whose sense of joy, curiosity, and passion has left an impression on the students and me.
PHIL DANNELS (Accompanist): Phil's uncanny piano skills may steal the show. We are extremely lucky to have Phil with us for this production because he brings every note of Harvey Schmidt's complicated and brilliant score to life.
FERNANDO ROBLES (Set & Lighting Design): The Fantasticks marks our ninth collaboration. He’d hate for me to brag about him here, so - in spite of all the praise I could heap - I’ll let his work speak for itself.
JOSSELINE TANUS (Costume Design): Talented and passionate, Josseline has contributed her costume design to five LCC Theatre productions. I’m in awe of her eye for design, attention to detail, and understanding of costuming storytelling.
JULIE BERRY (Costume Production): A true extraordinaire and artist, Julie brought Josseline’s designs to life. She’s skilled with fabric and a sewing needle, for sure. However, her greatest talent is the joy she brings to this theatre program. It’s wonderful to witness the happiness students feel when dressed in their costumes. Julie’s spirit is reflected in their smiles.
MATT HERMAN (Set Builder): Matt came through for us in a pinch. A wonderful set designer, Matt carved out time in his busy schedule to help us build tonight’s set.
