Director’s Note -
Welcome to our production of Neil Simon’s Rumors. I remember seeing this show years ago and laughing so hard my stomach hurt after the show. It has always been one of my favorites, and I am delighted to bring it to the Chaparral stage.
The cast and crew have been working for the last 2 months to produce the best possible show we can. Through the revision process, we get to try, fail, and try again to find what works best for the show. There is so much learning and laughing going on every day at rehearsal.
I would like to thank Morgan Erwin and Izze Sajdak for helping me direct this show, the cast for working a comedic show over and over until we get it right, the crew for creating and collaborating on a fantastic show together, the administration for their continued support, the Patrons for the Performing Arts for sharing a vision of arts education, and the parents for sharing their talented children with me and so much more.
This show is the combined effort of over 80 students this fall. Students are learning and applying new life skills that they will carry with them. Being involved in the arts brings joy to lives, learning to life, and life to its full potential. Thank you for supporting our program. Please come back and see some more shows. Now sit back, relax, and be ready to laugh!
We all hope you enjoy the show,
