Lee Smith
Director
Lee lives in Austin and produces television documentaries on water issues. He worked 24 years at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and was one of the original producers that established their weekly PBS series. He also produced the TPWD one-hour specials, Texas the State of Water, winning two Lonestar Emmys. He has an MFA in Theatre from the University of Houston where he studied and performed Shakespeare with the late Dr. Sidney Berger. He has appeared with the Houston Shakespeare Festival and the Austin Shakespeare Festival, serving on its Board of Directors as President. He also appeared at the Live Oak Theatre in Austin and with the Austin Gilbert and Sullivan Society. He taught theatre at Clear Brook High School in Friendswood, TX and was the first director to stage Shakespeare there.
