A Word from the Director:
This show holds a special place in my heart. When I first watched "The Yellow Boat" at the National Thespian Convention some years ago, it was a cutting edge children's play. The messages of stigma, HIV/AIDS, rejection, and human mortality are delivered in the play in a manner that I believe children and young adolescence can understand. HIV/AIDS is still a very current issue, and when this play was written doctors did not know very much about the virus. This story is based off of a real life story of the author’s son. This heartfelt production is one that I am very proud of and I know the students involved are as well. I want to thank them for their hard work and we thank you for your patronage and support. Enjoy the show as we sell away on “the yellow boat, up… up… up to the sun.”
