Director's Note
When we announced that the Fall Musical for 2017 was going to be Fiddler on the Roof, I had no idea what we were really getting into as a department. The show is well known, so that piece was taken care of, but the magnitude and the significance of the message is what has recently hit me as being so very timely. The students have stepped up to bring to life an amazing show-- from the crew, who embraced significant change along the way, the actors, who have never experienced this culture before, and the musicians who have brought us such beautiful music. The students and staff have done a tremendous amount of work and are truly creating an amazing piece of art on the Windsor High School stage.
This will be the final musical production in the Windsor High School Auditorium, as it will undergo a remodel in the next few months. As we present this musical I reflect on all of the past shows that we have done in my time here. While this tradition of blending performance, music, art, and culture will continue to thrive after the remodel of this space, I can truly say that I am very proud of all that we have accomplished as we bring live theatre to Windsor. I am excited to see what the future holds in the Windsor High School Theater.
