Austin Williams
as Tamino
Austin Williams is a senior vocal performance major at William Carey from Carriere, MS. He recently appeared as Bob Wallace in Carey's winter production of "White Christmas." Other credits include Sir Lionel in "Camelot," Donald in "Gallantry," Hansel in "Hansel and Gretel," and Dr. Karpathy in "My Fair Lady." This past summer Austin also had the opportunity to study opera with the International Performing Arts Institute in Kiefersfelden, Germany.

Sarah Beth Sewell
as First Lady
Sarah Beth Sewell, a junior vocal performance major studying with Dr. Kim Moon, is from Starkville, MS. She is honored to be in “The Magic Flute” with such fabulous performers and friends. She has successfully competed in competitions throughout the southeast as well as the Classical Singer Competition in Los Angeles, CA. Sarah Beth has also enjoyed musical theatre roles as Millie in “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” Mrs. Hannigan in “Annie,” and Gretel in “Hansel and Gretel.” In 2014 she had the honor of representing William Carey in the Miss Mississippi pageant. Sarah Beth also enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with family, and sharing her talent for God’s glory.

Sydney Henley
as Second Lady
Sydney Henley, a Jackson, Mississippi native, began singing in church as a young child. She has studied music since being accepted into the Jackson public school’s APAC program in the fifth grade. Sydney is a graduate of the Mississippi School of the Arts in Brookhaven, Mississippi, where she studied under Patton Rice and performed the solo on “Christe Eleison” for a performance with the Mississippi Symphony. Sydney has competed in several National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competitions in which she has been a semi-finalist, finished fourth, and placed second. Sydney is a junior music education major at William Carey University, where she studies under Susan Ruggiero and sings in Chorale and Carpenter’s Wood. She appeared as a Gingerbread Child in WCU’s 2013 production of “Hansel and Gretel.”
