There is no way to repay Team Brenan. Merely because they won't accept it. An act of love such as this is done voluntarily, without need for acknowledgement.
There's so little thats pure nowadays. We all seem to be divided in our own camps while social media stokes our fire for more division. Opinions fly, hearts grow cold.
Team Brenan was full of differences. Yet they were all put aside for one great cause.
Love drove that.
Kindness moved us each day to be at his side in the midst of so much difficulty, sadness, profound frustration, fear, confusion, anger, uncertainty.
I never asked why, because I know these people. It's what they are made of that rose them each day to the occasion.
When this is all over and memories fade, know that a mark was left on me...
ensuring that I won't forget him and I won't forget this group. I can't.
The mark is too deep and too beautiful...
...and I'm proud to wear it.
