The GSA of West Orange High School has officially been renamed Genders & Sexualities Alliance as of October 2021. The WOHS GSA is a group of students who are joined together to support LGBT youth and allies. The mission includes working towards eliminating bias and stigma through education and activism. We aim to reduce bullying and increase understanding and acceptance in our school's community. We support this mission with our student-created logo via graduating senior, Moss, which utilizes the progress flag, created by Graphic designer Daniel Quasar in 2018, to uphold our mission and the intersectionality of all within the LGBTQIA+ community. The WOHS-GSA accepts people of all orientations and identities. This is a great place to meet and get to know other queer people at your school. Meetings are held bi-monthly on Mondays.
