GRATITUDE FROM THE FAMILIES AND STUDENTS IN THIS PRODUCTION OF ALADDIN, JR.
The Parents and Students in this production of "Aladdin Jr." would like to send a special, heartfelt thank you to Ms. Gibbs, Mrs. Wolf, Ms. Schooler, Ms. Smith, and Ms. Allen for all of the time, dedication, hard work, patience, creativity, and love that you put into preparing for this show. You brought our amazing theater program back to life after a two-year COVID-imposed hiatus – no small feat! – and we are truly grateful. Thank you for guiding our children as they explored the whole new world of memorizing lines and finding their voices. You motivated them to work hard and prepared them for this shining, shimmering, splendid performance!
Thank you to the many John Lewis Elementary School (JLES) staff who helped at rehearsals each week, whether reading lines or choreographing musical numbers. We are so grateful that you have found your home at JLES, and that you have brought your love for the arts to all of us!
Principal Jackson and AP Bryant, thank you for all of your support for this production during our first year in this beautiful new building and our first full year of in-person school after the pandemic. Thanks, too, to all of the staff at JLES who love and encourage our scholars on a daily basis. Our community is a very special place because of all of you!
Thank you to the PSCO for your leadership in raising money to support the production and for being the infrastructure that makes a show like this possible. We are very fortunate that you volunteer your time to support the community in so many ways.
Thank you to the families of our performers who spent countless hours practicing lines, designing and building sets, sewing costumes, helping during rehearsals, providing snacks, soliciting ads and designing this playbill, and so much more! There are so many parents to thank that listing them individually would be impossible. This is a true community event and we couldn’t have done it without you!
The JLES family wishes to especially thank the DC location of LSAV Powerhouse for donating the lights that helped us see all of our young actors. A special thank you to Operations Manager, Scott Reams, for facilitating the donation and to JLES parent, Clinton Springer, for making this possible. Please visit https://lsav.tv for all of your broadcast quality digital/live staging and hybrid event audio visual needs. We got this!
Finally, thank you to JLES parent Andie Hunt for making it possible for friends and relatives to watch the production from afar. During these socially distanced times, it was great to be able to safely share the production in real-time.
