Waterford Union High School

 Crew Who's Who

  • Mr. Derek Machan head shot

    Mr. Derek Machan

    Executive Director

This is my 14th year at WUHS, and the second show I've had the pleasure of directing. My wife should apply for sainthood for putting up with me for over 20 years, and I appreciate the love and support of our daughter Eryka and our parents. Though it nearly broke me many times, I can honestly say this show was a labor of love, and ultimately, quite extraordinary.

  • Mrs. Jenny Hoffman head shot

    Mrs. Jenny Hoffman

    Artistic Director

Jenny is excited to be back assisting Mr. Machan with the musical, having served as Artistic Director on ""Pajama Game"" in 2013. She is thrilled to be working with this EXTRAORDINARY cast and crew! Jenny is the music teacher at St. Alphonsus School in New Munster, WI, has a home vocal studio and also teaches voice lessons at WUHS. She has directed and/or acted in over 60 musicals and plays in her career. Jenny would like to thank her husband, Jim, for always supporting her crazy passion. Now... let's journey to a spot - exciting, mystic and exotic!!

  • Mr. Michael Nelson head shot

    Mr. Michael Nelson

Mr. Michael Nelson has been WUHS's Band Director since 2000. He received his Bachelors of Music Education from Northern Illinois University and Masters Degree in Instrumental Conducting from the University of Missouri. Mr. Nelson lives in Waterford with his wife and 4 kids. Music is a gift! Through it, one experiences joy, discipline, exhilaration and treasured opportunities that will touch the human spirit for a lifetime.

  • Ms. Leslie Huntress-Hopkins head shot

    Ms. Leslie Huntress-Hopkins

    Choreographer

Leslie has had forty years in the training, teaching and choreographing all levels of dance and dance theatre in the Midwest and Arizona.. She is fortunate to also have facilitated the creation of possibly the first Community College Dance Troupe and Dance Department in the country. Even though she jokes about remaining the age of 29, Leslie is the senior full time faculty member in Philosophy and Humanities at the College of Lake County. The students there and here at WUHS still fill her life with "morning glow."
