Directors' Note
When we chose this year’s production, we considered The Sound of Music for its energy and its widely recognized music. But what we found was that its overall message of hope in times of turmoil also resonated with us. This story, based on actual events in the von Trapp family, reminds us of the importance of standing together against adversity.
As always, it is a great pleasure to see our efforts come together on the stage. We have so much for which to be grateful. The joy of seeing a production come together always comes from combining many elements and efforts into a greater whole. Please enjoy our production, and please continue to support the fine arts in Washington.
As directors, we want to thank our loved ones for their patience with the long hours, extra chores, early dinners and missed bedtimes. We are grateful to return to you!
