As always putting on a school musical is quite an undertaking and would not be such a success without the help of quite a few people. We are very grateful to all who helped make the 2015 production of Thoroughly Modern Millie a success.
To our cast parents: Thank you for allowing us to work with your children, picking them up each day, helping them with their lines, listening to them sing and dance throughout your house (hopefully the stenogs didn't tap on your hardwood floors).
To our faculty and staff: As always thank you for your support, especially those who put in some extra hours helping paint the backdrop, sew costumes, and/or work during the performances.
To our administration: We appreciate the fact that you allow us to continue to put on a musical each and every year and providing us with moral support (and sometimes a cameo role).
To our cast: It is a pleasure watching your acting skills grow and your characters come to life on stage. 8th graders we sincerely hope that you continue acting when you get to high school and that perhaps you continue beyond your school years. Don't forget to thank us first when you win your first Tony!
To those who took an even greater role in helping us with "Millie":
* Kohls' department store volunteers for helping with last minute projects.
* Mrs. Stephanie Foerster, Mrs. Sandy Wright, Mrs. Judi Charboneau, and Mrs. Vonna Rawlins for sewing and/or fixing costumes
* Rawlins family for taking on the program this year! THANK YOU!
* Kim and Peter Huber for getting us sponsors, painting sets, building or painting sets, settting up Chick-Fil-A night, and anything else we may have failed to mention!
* The group of parents and students who came to help prepare the sets and paint props!
* Tom Hise and Sgt. Robert Walkup for always taking on the tasks we throw at them - the oh could you fix this or help us with that, we appreciate everything you do for the play.
* The teachers who stayed late to help paint the backdrop, Mrs. Roof, Mrs. Ramsak, Mrs. Pappas, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Peterson, and Mrs. Howard. We owe you some ice packs and knee pads!
* Mrs. Kathy Howard for continuing to take on concessions, hanging pictures, and anything else you take on to help us out.
* Mrs. Shelly Hazel for the cast and crew head shots - they look great.
* Mr. Peter Fakoury and Mr. Bob Rankin for your continued support of the musical and helping us figure out our lighting situation - maybe someday we'll have all the right equipment!
* Mrs. Marisa Pappas for continuing to take on sets and set crew, we know the play always falls during the county art festival and youth art month. It's amazing how you can juggle so many things at once.
* Mrs. Samantha Foudray for continuing to come back year after year. We really appreciate your help with costumes and that you are still friends with us, even after everything we put you through.
If we left anyone off the list - we apologize, it doesn't mean we don't recognize or appreciate your support, we just finally ran out of brain power!
