    Christina Marshburn is a singer/actor and theatrical director and educator. After obtaining her BFA in Musical Theatre performance from Shenandoah, she performed professionally at Shenandoah Summer MT, Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens, and Six Flags St. Louis. In 2014, Christina began teaching at Hornsby MS, where she directed Seussical Jr. and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. In 2016, Christina moved to Warhill HS and is currently in her sixth year as the head of the Lion’s Roar Theatre Company. Her competitive directorial credits include I Never Saw Another Butterfly, Mother Hicks, There Will Be Light, Flowers for Algernon, and The Four Horsemen. Her musical directorial credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Tarzan, Mamma Mia!, Rock of Ages, and now The Wedding Singer! In May of 2020, Christina became a mom to daughter Peggy Jane, her biggest role to date! She would like to thank her family and husband Kevin for supporting her, even with her crazy schedule!

    Ms. Evans grew up in Atlanta, GA where she performed in ACDA, All-State, Spivey Hall, and District Honor Choirs. She received her undergraduate degree in Choral Music Education from the University of Kentucky. She took private voice lessons under Dr. Elizabeth Arnold and performed in the UK Opera Theatre, Lexington Philharmonic, Harrower Opera Summer Program, Northern Lights Music Festival, and numerous solo recitals. Ms. Evans continued her studies at East Carolina University studying under Dr. Jami Rhodes where she completed a Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance. There she taught Music Theory, Ear Training, Concert Choir, and Group Voice Class. She is most passionate about teaching the mechanics of the voice to all who enjoy singing. This is her first Lion’s Roar Theatre Company production and has greatly enjoyed working with such talented and dedicated students.
