I am very excited to bring to our audiences this production of Frozen Jr.
Frozen Jr. is a fantastic musical adaptation of the 2013 film featuring the same characters and story that we all know and love. A whole generation has grown up enjoying the friendships of the characters and their journey, so the opportunity to bring this story to life felt like the perfect option for me! This production takes the best of the screen with the fun of a musical to present this tale with a variety of music and dance styles perfectly tailored to our performers. I continue to be proud and amazed at the professionalism of the students and the staff at William Annin. This theatre program has become very popular and inspiring for both students and staff. The turn out for auditions was close to 200 students and at least 150 for crew. It is growing each year.
The Kids loved playing their roles and you will see how much fun they have had creating these characters. In fact we celebrated the success of one of our past WAMS students as Helen Shen took on a lead role in the Broadway Production of ‘Maybe Happy Ending.’ Helen got her start on our WAMS stage in a number of our musicals, and is a great example of what our students can achieve with hard work and dedication to the Arts.
The dedicated staff I work with enhance my motivation to produce and direct the best show possible for our age group. Mr. Nick Beykirch and his professionalism and experience as a technical coordinator and educator make this experience even more pleasurable for all involved. Mrs. Fiona Weiss brings her talents as a performer and artist to our production. I am very spoiled by her visions and teaching methods that make our students excited to learn the world of scene painting and design. Mrs. Carson Masi continues to enhance each show with energy and style with her dance visions and execution of routine, besides motivating the staff and students with theater involvement activities. I am excited to introduce Sarah Scatena as she debuts as our Musical Director. Her dedication to quality and safe voices of our students is heartfelt and inspiring.
I would like to say thanks to my wife, Cindy who provides us with high quality sound engineering and thoughtfulness to our students.
A huge thanks to all of the parents who volunteer and dedicate many hours behind the scenes.
Last and not least to our Administration Staff who provide guidance and motivation to provide the community with a showcase of student and staff talents in the arts.
Please Enjoy Our Production of Frozen Jr.
