Vero Voce Theater

 Who's Who

  • Tony Calzaretta head shot

    Tony Calzaretta

    as The Narrator (El Gallo)

I really wanted to spend more time on this bio, but I am busy running lines and learning to sword fight, which we in the business call fencing...with wooden sticks. So, thanks to this very talented cast, staff and crew for allowing me to perform with them. Enjoy the show!

  • Sarah Heylmun head shot

    Sarah Heylmun

    as The Girl (Luisa)

Sarah is an incoming junior at Batavia High School. Sarah has been involved with other productions that include Shrek, 9 to 5, Arsenic and Old Lace, Almost Maine, Seussical JR., Childrens Letters to God, and Oklahoma!. She is extremely grateful to have worked with this amazing cast. Enjoy the show!

  • Alex Adams head shot

    Alex Adams

    as The Boy (Matt)

Alex Adams is excited to be back at Vero Voce! He last was part of Songs for a New World, and Flat Stanley. He is currently studying for a BFA in Acting at Texas Christian University, and doesn't understand why everyone thinks college is so crazy. It's pretty much all studying in the library and doing homework. He has never even heard about people partying.

  • Scott Bussert head shot

    Scott Bussert

    as The Boy's Father (Hucklebee)

Scott is thrilled to be appearing on the Vero Voce stage for the first time.Playing one of the fathers is quite a leap for him... He would like to thank his wife and kids for their support and allowing him to neglect his duties as a husband and father (not that he really does much in that department anyway).

  • Chris Bruzzini head shot

    Chris Bruzzini

    as The Girl's Father (Bellomy)

Chris Bruzzini has appeared throughout the Chicagoland area. Recently, he was seen in Closer, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Woman in Black, and Dracula. Thanks, Dennis, for the opportunity to be a part of this show.
