John M. Carmack
Director
Mr. Carmack is a graduate of Bowling Green State University, with degrees in Choral Music Education (2009), Choral Conducting, and Voice Performance (2011). He has directed musicals and other stage productions for Huron Playhouse, the Black Swamp Players in Bowling Green, 3B Productions in Maumee, Otsego and Springfield High Schools, and numerous student-organizations at BGSU. He is in his fifth year at Vermilion High School, directing the Men's Chorus, Women's Chorus, VHS Chorale, Soundsation, and other dramatic productions at the High School.

Rachel Caldwell
Assistant Director
Rachel (Blenman) Caldwell is a graduate of Ashland University where she earned her Bachelor of Music degree, with emphasis in Instrumental Music Education. Mrs. Caldwell is in her sixth year of teaching; one year in Shelby County Schools, two years at Norwalk Catholic Schools, and is currently in her third year at Vermilion Local Schools, where she is the Director of Bands. Mrs. Caldwell directs the Sailor Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Sailor Jazz Ensemble, Stage Band, and assists with the Middle School Bands. She has assisted in the direction of several productions with Music Warehouse, Lehman High School, Norwalk Catholic School, and Vermilion High School. When she’s not teaching, Mrs. Caldwell performs occasionally with the Symphony West Orchestra and the Ashland Symphony Orchestra. This is Mrs. Caldwell’s third production at Vermilion and has enjoyed managing the public relations, crew, costumes, props, makeup, and light and sound design of this show!

N. Brett Dawson
Orchestra Director
Mr. Dawson is a graduate of the College of Wooster where he earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree with emphasis in Instrumental Music Education. He has previously assisted with productions at Valley Forge High School and ETC School of Musical Arts. Mr. Dawson is in his fourth year of teaching, having worked previously for two years in the Parma City Schools and one year for Copley-Fairlawn City Schools. This is his first year in Vermilion where he is the lead teacher of the middle school (5-7 grade) bands, directs the middle school jazz ensemble, assists with eighth grade band, directs the Symphonic Band and assists with the high school marching band. When he is not teaching, Mr. Dawson coaches swimming, sings in the Baldwin Wallace Men's Chorus and performs sparingly with the Strongsville Community Wind Ensemble.
