as Truvy Jones
Heather Sanderson is a native to Booneville where she spends her time with her husband, her two beautiful girls, wonderful son-in-laws, and her five gorgeous grandchildren. She is a cosmetologist and is the owner of Serenity Day Spa that she has been running with her best friend, Tasha, for over a decade. Many have even dubbed her a “Real Life Truvy Jones”. While this is her theatre debut, bringing the entertainment to her salon chair is nothing new to her - it’s just another day at the office. Steel Magnolias happens to be the very first theatre play she experienced and it holds a special place in her heart. Heather is honored to be working with Velvet Chair Theatre Company to bring Steel Magnolias to life for her community.

Kaylee Heitger is thrilled to be making her Velvet Chair Theatre debut! Even though this is her first time performing in The Claude Gentry Theatre, she is no stranger to the stage. Kaylee has been performing her entire life! She recently moved back to Tupelo & jumped right back into the theatre scene like she never left. When she’s not on stage, you can catch her working backstage or hunting down the nearest loaded tea shop. Kaylee is so excited to be sharing the stage with these amazing ladies, especially her mother! Steel Magnolias has always been a favorite for them. She wants to thank her family and friends for the never ending support & God for this life changing opportunity! Oh & of course thank you for supporting your local community theater! Now sit back, relax; and don’t worry because “I will not let my own personal tragedy affect my ability to do good hair!”
