Catherine McCormick
as Snow Queen
Catherine is thrilled to be performing the role of Snow Queen again this year. She is 16 years old and a sophomore at El Toro High School. Catherine began dancing at 3 years old and later came to V&T to focus on her ballet instruction. This year will be her 8th Nutcracker and she has performed as Mouse, Party Children, Soldier, Angel, Clown, Fairy, Chinese, Merliton, Arabian, Waltz of the Flowers, and Snowflakes. She also treasures the opportunity to dance with her father as Drosselmeyer. Catherine received scholarships to attend both Ballet West and Joffrey summer intensives. Last summer, Catherine attended the English National Ballet Summer Intensive in London. Outside of dance, Catherine loves to read, travel, and spend time with her sister. It has been a privilege to receive excellent training from Victor and Tatiana, Karen, and all of the teachers at V&T. It has also been a pleasure for her to grow alongside incredible dancers and friends.

Hannah Gu
Dew Drop Fairy (Matinee)
Hannah Gu is 14 years old and a freshman at Tesoro High School. She started ballet and joined V&T when she was 9. This will be her 6th nutcracker, and in the past years, Hannah has had many roles ranging from party boy and clown to Clara and Dew Drop Fairy. She’s excited and eager to dance and perform The Nutcracker again. Outside of dance and school, she enjoys listening to music, playing instruments, and hanging out with friends. Over these years, her love for ballet and dance has only ever deepened. She is grateful to Victor, Tatiana, and all her other teachers for their continued guidance and support.
