A Note from the Directors:

V.E.L.C.R.O is a student organization that was formed by the students for the students.

It was created to give students the opportunity to expand their art form by choosing and executing productions of their own. In the summer of 2014, we proposed that V.E.L.C.R.O choose a musical to be produced the following summer. The students chose Legally Blonde: The Musical. From the moment the show was selected by our peers we began work on securing the rights, fundraising money, and booking the theatre space.

We did not realize how much actually went into putting on a full fledged musical and have received much criticism since deciding to take on a project of this magnitude. The judgemental glances and jeers we received about our project were no differerent than those that Elle received on her first day of class at Harvard Law. Her determination to stay and become a graduate has been our motivation throughout this entire process.

To those who doubted us: thank you! You helped us in ways you wouldn't imagine.

To those who believed in us and supported us: thank you for your faith and support since day one, because we wouldn't be here without you.

We are incredibly grateful for all our donors who made this show possible and we're also grateful to an amazing cast who made the hectic process a little easier.

In the words of Elle Woods:

"I thank you one and all, the ones who thought I'd fall, who taught me how to fail, who helped me to prevail. I'm standing here today, becasue you helped me find my way!"
