I am so grateful for the opportunity to teach these wonderful kids and to support extra curricular activities that give students the chance to work together towards a common goal. This has been one of those wonderful experiences for them and they have put in so many hours over these last couple of months learning music and choreography to put this show together for all of you.
I am so thankful to the many volunteers who have donated their time to make this show possible. Staci Wisma has spent so many hours researching costume designs, organizing sizes and ironing and I can’t thank her enough. Carie Thomas really stepped up this year with our Donor Communications and Ticket Sales. She went from outlining the entire auditorium to lining up ushers and I am so thankful for all that she has done. A BIG THANK YOU goes to Ms. Kelly Fleming. You were able to create challenging choreography and teach it to a bunch of non-dancing students.
I cannot thank Ms. Cassie Cress enough for all that she does to put these musicals on the stage. We have worked together since 2002 and have learned so much from each other during that time. She manages the students and my crazy ideas with grace and humor. She is more than just an Assistant Director, but someone that I am proud to call a friend.
Lastly, I would like to thank my wife Lori who has been with me since the beginning. There are many days during this season that I leave the house while it’s dark outside and don’t return home until well after dark. She continues to support me and all that I do at UHS. I am grateful to have her in my life and to have her with me through this wild journey called life. I wouldn’t want to go through it with anyone else.
I want to thank all of you for coming to this show and supporting Fine Arts at Urbana High School. Without you, none of this would be possible so sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
