What does it mean to be in love?
We at Fauteux Productions are proud to present I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change at the University of Ottawa. This show explores every part of the romantic relationship from beginning to end in clever and often hilarious ways. Though the show is portrayed from a very heteronormative perspective, it is my most sincere hope that anyone and everyone watching will be able to relate to the way the ups and downs of loving relationships performed in the show.
It is impossible to overstate the incredible work that the cast, crew, and production team has put into making this show a reality. Full-time university students are constantly busy – and law students even more so. But week in and week out I was treated to a level of enthusiasm that a director at any level would be overjoyed to have.
I would like to personally thank executive producers Steven Ansley and Victoria Kayal and stage manager Ashley An for their hard work behind the scenes. And the show would be significantly less exciting without the talented musical team Lindsay Gillis, Heidi Wilson and Pat Rooney, who all joined the show at the 11th hour.
My greatest honour these past few months has been to put this show together to create something that everyone can fall in love with – if only just a little bit. From everyone at Fauteux Productions, we are grateful to have you in our audience, and we hope you enjoy I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!
