Giovanni Nigro
as Wonka
Giovanni Nigro is a senior at Harry S. Truman High School. He has been a part of Truman Drama since 2022, his sophomore year, beginning with Rocky: The Musical. He a played Barry Glickman in The Prom, and co-wrote Trauma High with his Honors Theater Production class. Giovanni participates in Speech and Debate, marching, jazz, and concert bands, Brian Fitzpatrick’s student task force, student council, Honor’s Society, and is Vice President of the Senior class. Giovanni, with Jackson Montgomery, plays in the band The Philly Expo. Giovanni would like to thank his family, especially his grandmother, for always supporting him in his endeavors. He also would like to thank Tracey, Berner, Mrs. Winebrenner, Mr. Marlow, Mariah, Dana, Mr. Taggart, and Chris for giving him the chance to be a part of such a prestigious program. He hopes to continue doing theater in college, while also dual majoring in Psychology and Music Theory.

Jaiden VanDerveer
as Charlie
Jaiden VanDerveer, a freshman at Truman, is very enthusiastic about working on this musical since this is the first time he has ever been in a show. He is extremely thankful to have been casted as Charlie and looks forward to working on future shows. Jaiden frequently keeps himself busy after school with extracurriculars; such as speech and debate, environmental club, and jazz band. He is also part of Truman’s marching band, choir, and indoor drumline. He has been in BCMEA for the past three years, and has been singing in choir since 2020. Jaiden would like to thank his parent for supporting him along the way, his friends for encouraging him, and Ms. Winebrenner for forcing him to audition. If she didn’t catch him at just the right time, he wouldn't have been part of this amazing musical.

Jackson Montgomery
as Grandpa Joe
Jackson Montgomery is currently a senior at Harry S. Truman High School. This is his first year participating in Truman’s drama program. Jackson is also part of Truman’s marching band, concert band, jazz band, and indoor drumline. Outside of school he is part of his own band, The Philly Expo. Jackson is very excited to be a part of this year's musical. He would like to thank all of his family and friends for supporting him in his efforts of chasing his dreams.
