as The Mother Abbess
Previous roles include West Side Story (Rosalia), Carousel (Carrie Pipperidge) and Fiddler on the Roof (Golde). After a very long hiatus from musical theater, LaVerne is honored to have been given the opportunity to return to the stage in this beloved Rogers and Hammerstein classic! Much love and thanks to God, family and friends for inspiring her to continue to “Climb Every Mountain” till she finds her dreams!

Kathy Blake
as Sister Berthe
is delighted to be working with TWL for the first time! Kathy is not new to the convent and has played a nun at least three other times! The first was as Sr Margaretta in SOM with Miracle Players 11 years ago, where she made her community theater debut! Kathy has also worked with Baltimore Children's Theater, Mobtown,GAP and RTP! She has loved working with the convent where she has found peace!

Diane Moniuszko
as Sister Margaretta
has performed in various musical productions with GAP and RTP. One of her favorite roles was playing the Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz which helps her cope with Sister Berthe’s “ïssues” in this production. She is delighted to be a part of this wonderful cast and awesome production staff. A big thanks to her husband,Chuck, for adapting to the strange dinner routine due to rehearsals.

Heather Steiner
as Sister Sophia
has been performing solos since she was three years old. She has been singing professionally since she was ten. Some of her favorite roles include Lucy in "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown", Annie in "Annie", and Baby June in "Gypsy". She has also performed country and Christian music at various venues: The Grand Ole Opry, The Verizon Center, and RFK Stadium.
