Letter from our Director
The age-old tale of Boy-Meets-Girl and the complications which ensue intrigue every audience, and no musical puts it on stage better than ANYTHING GOES. This show is an amusing story wrapped around one of Cole Porter’s magical scores. Terrific Cole Porter songs include It’s De-Lovely, Friendship, I Get A Kick Out Of You, All Through The Night, Anything Goes, You’re The Top and Blow, Gabriel, Blow. It’s a wonder that all the romances are sorted out and disaster is averted aboard the magical ship where ANYTHING GOES!
Anything Goes was my first Musical at the Morgan School. Being new in town, I was not familiar with any of the local talent, so Bob Hale, the Band Director encouraged me to consider working with a senior, who was interested in pursuing a career in Dance. Needless to say that decision brought together a partnership that has lasted for 30 years! So Diana Harris and I decided to return to the show that brought us together for the last musical to be performed on this Morgan Stage. This year we celebrate two anniversaries, our partnership of 30 years, and the 50th anniversary of the Morgan Musical!
