JOHN LAMPE Artistic & Musical Director
Mr. Lampe received his Bachelor of Music from Hartt School of Music and Master of Arts from Sacred Heart University, with Continuing education credits at UConn, Westminster Choir College and University of New Hampshire. He is completing his 30th year as Choral Director at The Morgan School in Clinton Ct, where he directs the musicals and teaches Music theory, Music Appreciation, Intro to Acting, Musical Theatre and Chorus. Outside his school activities, Other music activities include: organist for St Mark's RC Church, and Founder and Artistic Director for The Clinton Family Theatre, a community theatre sponsored by the Clinton Parks and Rec since 1989. He is the proud “Pop pop” of 5 beautiful grandchildren, Liam, Eileen, Luke, Juliette and Devon!
DIANA DART HARRIS Choreographer
Morgan Musical Theatre’s choreographer since 1987 - she has degrees in Dance Education and Exercise Science and has been Clinton Family Theatre’s choreographer since 1989. She has taught dance for 25 years and is currently teaching at University of New Haven, Montessori School of Madison, and Starship Dance and directs a dance outreach program for 4th graders in Guilford. Diana’s first book, Beginning Musical Theatre Dance, was released by Human Kinetics in January.
RAY SMITH Technical Advisor
For 29 years Mr. Smith has been assisting Mr. Lampe with technical help here in Gagnon Auditorium managing all aspects of the Lighting and Sound systems. Mr. Smith is the Band Director at both the Morgan High School and Pierson Elementary School and enjoys using Technical Theater as another means to teach students and open them up to new experiences and job opportunities for them. In the summer he enjoys sailing, kayaking and bicycling; he resides in Colchester with his wife, Johanne.
MATT MACKINNEY Lighting Design
A former Morgan School Graduate, Matt has considerable experience in Theatrical Lighting having worked at the Hartford Stage, Southern Connecticut State University, Oakdale Theater, the York Theater in NYC and the Katherine Hepburn Center in Old Saybrook. Matt is the resident lighting designer for the Clinton Family Theater and Opera Theater of Connecticut and currently works for the Mohegan Sun Casino at an Entertainment Technician. Matt is also the Music Director and Organist at the Lutheran Church in Madison. Matt is an avid golfer and also enjoys a leisurely ride on his motorcycle through the Connecticut back roads.
