NOTES FROM THE DIRECTOR

Every theatre production presents challenges and GREASE has been no exception. However, through it all I have been impressed with the enthusiasm of our cast, the dedication of the technical crew and the support from the adults who make up our production staff.

If a production is anything it is people; it takes people of all kinds, coming together to create something from virtually nothing, and watching it all come together never ceases to amaze me; from the way cast members learn and polish their parts, the way our stage crew learns to operate like a well oiled machine, the way adults teach while supporting actors, singers and dancers, the way the sound grows into SOUND,  and the way the lights bring life to the stage. All of the elements of the production somehow come together and the result is a charming piece of art, live, onstage that akes my breath away. And, its all because of people.

And of course, let's not forget the audience, without which we would not have a performance at all but simply yet another rehearsal. Thanks to you all for being here to celebrate the result of our labor and thanks too, to all of us who, as our School Song so eloquently intones, "have labored long, mighty visions to fulfill...
