A Few Things to Keep In Mind
When You Go to the Theater
-
While it is appropriate to respond to funny, shocking, or entertaining moments of the play out loud, you should be aware of the audience members around you and respect their enjoyment of the production by not talking during the play.
-
It is customary to applaud at the end of songs, and at the curtain call when the actors come out to take their final bows. Throughout the show, audience members may choose to applaud in the middle of a song, dance, or speech when something particularly outstanding has just been performed.
