It’s definitely been a fun ride. It’s my first time working on a major production honestly. Everyone has been very supportive and encouraging. To me, it is a little intimidating being the male lead role. The memorization has really been something new to learn. However it hasn’t been as hard as I once thought. Luckily, I’ve gotten along and even made some new friends because of this show.

Auditions for this play was a last minute decision I made walking past the room. I never thought it was going to be so influential on me. The rehearsals were fun, but at the same time they were challenging for me since this is new to me. Meeting new people was the best part of this experience. This has influenced me to want to further my acting skills and minor in theatre while at college.

I was nervous to audition because I was afraid of what Mr. Casey would think. Fortunately, he gave me not one, but two roles. I’m honored to be in such a comical piece with such a humorous and talented cast. This is by far the most astonishing Tarrant experience I’ve ever had.

While doing this play, it has opened up my mind to pursue my dream of acting. This play has opened up my funny side to experience different roles and to become a character that in real life I am not able to be. I had fun while rehearsing and acting in Check Please and I look forward to more roles to come.

After trying out, I knew this was something that I wanted to do. This play has broadened my horizons to something new. We all put in a lot of effort and had a lot of fun as well. I feel as though this production in a way helped to get me out of my comfort zone and do the things I thought I never would.
