Tarbuton

A Message From the Israeli House

The Tarbuton has worked closely with the Israeli House of the Israeli Consulate since 2009.

My name is Anat Haim and I am the Israeli House Director for the Western United States, including Arizona, Southern California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming.

The Israeli House is a unique project of the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption maintaining contact with Israelis living outside Israel, and works in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry by the Israeli Consulate in Los Angeles.

The Israeli house can provide you with information to plan your return to Israel such as: Ministry of Immigrant Absorption assistance, customs, social security and health insurance, employment, etc.

Another key role of the Israeli house is to provide a meeting place for Israelis, where they can express their Israeli identity in a Hebrew speaking environment and experience the Holidays of Israel by participating in social activities planned with an affinity to Israel.

The Tarbuton of San Diego provides educational programs about Israel and provides Hebrew language instruction for children and adults.  The Tarbuton also offers social programs, holiday celebrations and opportunities for families with a common connection of Israel to meet.

Together we provide a number of activities in the San Diego area such as Hebrew story times, book and film clubs, Holiday events and more.

If you would like to keep in touch with the Bayit Yisraeli, my phone is: 323-852-5527.  My email address is: israelihouse@la.mfa.gov.il

The closest Israeli consulate to San Diego is in Los Angeles.  http://www.israeliconsulatela.org/   There is currently no local representative to address issues of immigration, visas, passports, etc.
