I am overjoyed to say, that I am extremely proud of this year’s production. The 5th-grade students’ performances fully showcased their ability to produce a great Broadway Musical during this year’s “transition to normalcy”. The students acquired many tools and contributed their creative ideas on how to create a great musical. These extraordinary students never gave up and opened themselves to new opportunities and hopes with unbounded creativity.
I’m especially proud of the cooperation, mutual respect, and teamwork that has been demonstrated by each department. These students have put their egos aside and discovered that whether they had one line or twenty, were on or off-stage, everyone shares equality in the pride and success of such an accomplishment. We can finally say that their hard work will be seen by your loved ones.
After two years of a pandemic and longing to return to the theater, we finally had the opportunity to meet with the audience once again, and connect with their energy and presence. This year has been refreshing, and we have created many unforgettable memories during the past few months. Thus, we can proudly premiere the magnificent musical of Moana Jr. in Puerto Rico.
With this said, I am honored and proud of all the hard work done by Ms. Karla Santana, Mr. Edwin Colon, Mr. Fabian Rivera, Ms. Beatriz Rivera, Ms. Evy Gonzalez, and Ms. Megan Murphy. Taking on this challenge and continuing, even in the face of adversity, are admirable traits. My heartfelt thanks to all, and my best wishes to every 5th grader! Good luck next year when you are in 6th-grade and all the years to follow. I will miss you dearly. Thank you for the wonderful experiences!
