    Catherine Lavin - Director/Sound Tech

    Meet Catherine Lavin, the Director and Sound Tech of the Swift Creek Drama Club's second production, Annie Jr. With an extensive career as an educator, Catherine has produced and directed 12 musicals. Her talents go beyond education; she is also a skilled musician who can play the piano and violin. Since her middle school years, Catherine has been an active singer/actor. But she's not just a professional; Catherine spends her free time reading, painting, and cherishing her family outside of school. Her husband, Joe is a constant support and the number one volunteer in the Fine Arts Program. With her two children, Addison (3 years old) and Maddox (9 months old), and dogs Chloe and Daisy, Catherine enjoys swimming, visiting museums, and going on quiet coffee dates before attending church. Catherine is an inspiration for those who wish to pursue their passions and lead a fulfilling life.

    Felicia Rawls - Choreographer/Co-Director

    Mrs. Rawls is a school counselor at Swift Creek Middle School who has been working with their theatre productions for two years. She is an avid Zumba and BollyX instructor, teaching various styles in many classes each week, making her an ideal choreographer for their shows. Mrs. Rawls loves to connect with people through conversation and can easily build relationships, never considering anyone a stranger. She is passionate about working with her students, whom she affectionately refers to as "Her Kids," and the connections she creates with them often bring them back to her even after they leave Swift Creek. Her catchphrase, "Here on purpose!" reflects her positive attitude towards life in general. The students and staff at Swift Creek are fortunate to have her as a part of their community.

    Maretha Rawls - Assistant Director

    Maretha Rawls is an inspiring individual who has pursued her passion for theatre since high school. She graduated from North Carolina Central University with a degree in theatre and is now working towards her teaching license at Meredith College. Maretha's involvement with the Swift Creek theatre program has been a fulfilling experience, particularly her work with the children in the program. Her dedication and commitment to her craft are truly inspirational.
