Laura Wade
Camp Director/Artistic Director
Laura Wade (Camp Director/Artistic Director) has a BFA in Performing Arts from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and two years of MFA experience in Acting Pedagogy from the University of Alabama. She has taught college, high school, and private theatre and voice lessons for over a decade. She has also performed in amateur, collegiate, and professional theatre participating in over 90 productions for the stage. She currently teaches private voice lessons at Raise the Barre Studio. Laura has experience in teaching, directing, and performing classic works for the theatre. Laura is a professional playwright in her spare time and is currently the Theatre teacher at Fred Wild Elementary.

Cassady Hitt
Camp Director/Choreographer
Cassady Hitt (Camp Director/Choreographer) is a Highlands County Native who has trained locally as a dancer, actor, and singer. She contributes her talents as one of the main choreographers for Highlands Lakeside Theatre. Cassady also currently teaches Musical Theatre at DU. Cassady is a Math teacher at SMS and has been a member of Highlands Lakeside Theatre for over ten years now. She has enjoyed getting to perform on stage in such shows as Disenchanted, The Addams Family, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Shrek, Clue, and Jesus Christ Superstar. She is also a Zenon award winning choreographer for musicals. Cassady is also a part of the Summer Theatre Institute, and loves teaching the campers and stage managing the summer shows. Cassady is working toward becoming a director at HLT.

Elise Short
Camp Director/Acting
Elise Chaisson Short (Camp Director/Acting) is a camp director for the summer theater camp, and has previously been a camper herself. Elise has received her BFA in Theater with a concentration in music at the Florida Atlantic University. In her free time Elise enjoys spending time at the theater, with her dog, and hanging out with friends. Elise Short has directed and assisted multiple productions which include Clue, Richard III, as well as main directed Brighton Beach memoirs. Elise has been in productions which include, Head of the Family, Urinetown, and Jesus Christ Superstar.
