Mary Poppins, the name itself brings different emotions, memories, and happiness to most you talk to. Whether your a fan of Bert, or Mary, or those beloved dancing penquins, I find that almost everyone can relate in some way. What I love the most about Mary Poppins, is the quote, "Anything is possible, even the impossible." If you think about this,this phrase is true. If you put your mind to anything you can achieve it, this is a concept so easy for children. As adults we tend to forget how to "play." We forget how to let our imagination run away from us. This is why I do what I do. I get to play! I get to watch these wonderful, talented children of yours become dancing penquins, chimney sweeps, honeybees, and one of the most beloved nannies on earth.
There are several people that have helped make this show amazing, please give me a moment to acklowedge them. Miss Sam, not only my favorite daughter, but my amazing vocal director, thank you! Miss Kristin, has moved from one of my favorite students, to one of my favorite TA's, to now one of my favorite Choreographers, thank you for always being a strong role model. Mr.Ronnie, thank you for braving the cold to make our sets look so amazing, even with a broken hand you came through, thank you. Mr. Kyle, thank you for braving the cold with Ronnie, having an alum like you helping means the world to me, thank you! Mr. Brian, thank you for always being there to help us look and sound great, you are my touchstone, and always my favorite director! Last but not least, Miss Cindy, you got the crazy honor of coming in late in the game and had to take all our many online orders and walmart runs etc, thank you, you have been a life saver!
