    Producer

    With over 70 roles in his repertoire, Corey Trahan is being seen and heard internationally in repertoire ranging from operatic classics to modern musical theatre. Corey is Director of Music Theatre and Co-Director of “Broadway to Go”. He teaches voice, acting, music theatre performance and serves as music director for main stage productions. Corey's academic degrees include the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of North Texas, the Master of Music degree from the University of Houston and the Bachelor of Music degree from Louisiana State University. He is also General Manager of Strauss Theatre Center in Monroe, Louisiana and a member of the American Guild of Music Artists, Actor’s Equity Association and National Association of Teachers of Singing. www.coreytrahan.com

    Director / Choreographer

    Struass has seen Scot wear many different hats. Different times have seen him as Artistic Director, Technical Director, light, set & costume designer, acting coach and stage sweeper. His latest is as a guest Director. Strauss audiences have seen his work in over 45 productions, including 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, Hello Dolly, State Fair, Noises Off, Cottonland Christmas, Chicago, Will Rogers Follies, The Music Man and Into The Woods, just to name a few. For 25 years before moving to Monroe, he traveled the world as Director for the internationally known Ice Capades. As a performer, he has appeared on stages from New York to Hong Kong and on TV and film, and in 1983 on a new idea of a "music video" for MTV with Michael Jackson's Thriller. "I believe that Strauss Theatre has attracted an abundance of excellent local talent that rivals any place in the country, and we are truly excited to offer that talent to you, the audience, in The Music Man, a truly All American Musical to enjoy."

  • Dan Phillips

    Musical Director

    Dan is the Music Director at First United Methodist Church of West Monroe and also a band director at Good Hope Middle School. He is also an adjunct instructor in the music departments of ULM and Louisiana Tech. He has performed multiple roles in musicals and operas. The role of Marcellus is his second with the Strauss Theater, after performing as the Bishop in Les Miserables.
