    Mrs. Jessica Garcia

    Director/Producer

Mrs. Garcia comes from a tight-knit family in the Sacramento area. Her choir teacher in high school changed her life by telling her that she could sing, even though she believed she was tone deaf. From that moment, her love for theatre and music grew, as did her self-confidence, and she ended up majoring in Theatre Arts at California Polytechnic: San Luis Obispo.

She is thrilled she is currently teaching theatre at SAP, and this is her ninth year here.

She is proud to have directed: Annie Jr., Getting to Know The Sound of Music, The Lion King Jr., Beauty and the Beast Jr., Singin’ in the Rain Jr., and Aladdin Jr. She has had an amazing time at SAP and is looking forward to introducing students to more musical classics. Mrs. Garcia feels excited and truly blessed to have the opportunity to teach students about the beautiful power of music and theatre! Please enjoy our long awaited production of Frozen Jr.!

    Music

Ms. Mahar is thrilled for Frozen Jr. to finally make its debut at SAP! This is the 4th musical that Ms. Mahar has helped with music and backstage work. Ms. Mahar has always had a love for music, especially jazz, which she got from her grandmother. In middle school, she played piano in her school’s jazz band and was able to travel all over the country to play in many different festivals and competitions. Prior to Frozen Jr., most of Ms. Mahar’s singing was through the Church Choir and Church events. In 2018, Ms. Mahar was given the opportunity to sing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic in their summer concert at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Thank you to all who came to support. We hope you enjoy the show!
