Cynthia St. John
Director & Lead Seamstress
Ms. St John has been teaching in some capacity since 2000, with time teaching in all grades K-12, and all ensembles. She holds a BA in Vocal performance from UF and an MA in Music Ed from USF. Ms. St John has appeared in all kinds of shows as an actor, singer, and dancer. Her youth was spent in musicals as well as renaissance faires and classical concerts. She has sung under the batons of Sir Colin Davis, Jo Michael Scheibe, John W Richmond, James Bass, Paul Basler and John Rutter. She has performed in six countries (including inside the Notre Dame Cathedral), as well as famed venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York City and The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. Ms. St John has dabbled in composition, with three liturgical motets written under a pseudonym. She is married and has three children. This will be Ms. St John's last performance with SLHS. It has been a pleasure working with these kids. I wish you all the best.
