Don’t Talk During the Show
A quick whisper to your neighbor or an audible reaction to something interesting that happens on stage is fine (this is the live theatre, not the morgue), but keep conversations to the intermission and after the show.
Bring crying babies to the lobby
We love that you are starting their love of theatre young! However, it makes it hard for the students to stay focused and for the other audience members to enjoy the show.
Stay seated unless there is an emergency
Try to save bathroom breaks for intermission!
Clap between scenes, but do not yell or call out names
Your enthusiasm for the show is wonderful but should be calmed down out of consideration for both the audience and the performers. It is a theatre performance, not a rock concert, not an arena or a sports stadium. Save your whooping for the final curtain call, where you can whoop as much as you would like. Whoop, whoop!
