I’ve been directing theatre since 1977 for New Rochelle High School, N.Y.C. Fiddler and Godspell.After touring and numerous summer stock shows I returned to Michigan. Directed for several community theatres and in 1987 opened a dinner theatre within two years, I had 3. Two downriver and one in Windsor, Ontario, Canada over the next years I directed/ produced over 60 productions. It’s always a unique experience, but I enjoy sharing my knowledge, experience and have some fun doing it!

John Tartaglia
Pit Conductor
John Tartaglia (Musical Director) is a journal editor and semiretired Ph.D. metallurgical engineer, who still works part time for Element Materials Technology in Wixom. John conducted the pit orchestra for SpongeBob and musically directed Jersey Boys, The Addams Family and Catch Me If You Can for Spotlight Players, Mary Poppins for Dexter Community Players in 2022, and many previous shows for Ann Arbor Civic Theatre, Saline Area Players, and St. Dunstan’s Guild of Cranbrook. John plays multiple woodwind instruments in the Depot Town Big Band and in theater pits including many Spotlight Player productions.
