Angela Gordon

Director

Angela is the owner of Spotlight Performing Arts Academy and also the show's director. Her main goal is to make Spotlight a place where everyone can come and follow their dreams. Angela has received her Masters degree from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, a BA in Vocal Performance and Arts Management from Newberry College. In addition to operating Spotlight, Angela has taught Chorus and Theatre at the high school and elementary level. Angela loves to continue to perform whenever she can. Angela has also volunteered her time to represent the town of Mint Hill on the Arts and Science Council's South and East Advisory Board and as a script reviewer for the American Association of Community Theatre. Recently Angela has been honored to be named one of Charlotte Media Groups 50 Most Dynamic Women for 2022 and 2023.
