Anderson "Sunny" Hiles
as Young Anastasia
Anderson “Sunny” Hiles is the 6th grade daughter of Mike & Samantha Hiles of Orbisonia. This is her first musical at SHC. In school, Sunny is a part of the 6th Grade Band & Chorus, & Library Club. She attended this year’s Junior High County Chorus, as well as last year’s 5th Grade Chorus Fest. Her extracurricular activities include basketball, softball, soccer, & her church’s Youth Group. She was also crowned the 2023 Orbisonia-Rockhill Homecoming Junior Princess. Sunny sings with her local church’s Girl’s Choir, Children’s Choir, and Community Children’s Choir. She sang with the Children’s Carolers at the 2024 Orbisonia Tree-Lighting, and is a member of the Scottsville Carolers. Sunny was also in the Orbisonia-Rockhill Christmas in Our Hometown plays “The Legend of Silent Night” (‘21) & “The Night Before Christmas” (‘22) as well as an angel at this year’s Hometown Christmas Hayride. Sunny has loved making friends with the cast & being a part of the show.

Kara Harper
as Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna Romanov
Kara Harper is a sophomore and is playing The Dowager Empress in Anastasia. Her previous roles include the Fairy Godmother and one of the 3 Blind Mice in Shrek: the Musical as well as ensemble roles in both Bye Bye Birdie and Godspell. At Southern, she is a member of Concert Band, Chorus, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Tri-M, Blue + Gold Tones, NHS, Library Club, and Varsity Club. She has also participated in the Huntingdon County Band and Choir festivals and earned her way to PMEA District Band and District Choir as well as PMEA Region Band and Region Choir. Kara enjoys playing soccer and runs cross country and track. She would like to thank her cast and crew for a wonderful and memorable show, her family and friends for their support, and her director!
