Director's Note:
I have been wanting to stage a musical at Sossaman for years! Knowing the talent I would have in the Advanced Theatre Troupe this year finally helped seal the deal. Our rehearsal process was a whirlwind, as we maneuvered around the haunted house, numerous assemblies, fall holidays and general second quarter chaos. I am so incredibly proud of the work this cast and crew put into this production. They spent hours of their own time polishing choreography, music and dialogue and it is very appreciated. Each person came into this process with great ideas, a bunch of enthusiasm, and determination.
Xanadu Jr. has been such a blast to work on. Considering this was a show the students knew virtually nothing about, we all fell in love with the music, the characters and the message. We hope that you enjoy the show as much as we have enjoyed working on it. And more than anything, we hope you experience life's greatest achievement, and your own Xanadu - "To love someone else and to create art."
Special thank you to the Xanadu technical crew. No matter what task you were given, you showed up and crushed it. I couldn't be more proud of all that you brought to this production. We would not have been able to do it without you!
