Notes from the Directors:
Mr. Brackney and myself are very proud of this production and the success of the Theatre Department at SVA. Five years ago this program started at this school and it has continued to grow and improve each and every day. We have been very blessed with many dedicated, respectful, artistic, talented, and wonderful students, who give so much of their time in every production we produce. We have been blessed at SVA to allow students to try theatre, and to be involved in other activities, as well. We would like to thank the athletic department and the coaches for working with us in being flexible in allowing these students to extend their talents in many different areas.
We would like to thank the following people:
- Sean Smyth for his help in building our sets.
- Tim Nelson and Galloway & Company for their help with posters!
- Troy, Kirk and Tony for all of their help with set up and building.
- Lori Bachtel for her help with the "business side" of our show.
- Jon Ail for his enthusiastic and unfailing support.
- Stephanie Vituilli for her unconditional support and help!!!
- Our spouses for their support and understanding of the time we are away from them.
Finally to our Seniors 2018!!! This group has been such a huge inflluence in making SVA Theatre successful! The have such spirit and love for this art. All of you will be truly missed. We wish you much success in your future endeavors. Please come back and visit.
- Elizabeth- I am so glad you got to actually be on stage for at least one show. Thank you for all of your help in the past with makeup and sets.
- Eli- I have watched you grow into such a hard worker, loyal and amazing young man. I will definitlely miss your smile and your amazing dance moves on stage.
- Libby- I am so glad that you decided to audition for "Beauty and the Beast." You have such a beautiful smile on stage! Thank you for always caring for my well-being.
- Riley- Thank you for being a part of the shows! I know that I have talked you into auditioning but I hope that you have had fun on stage, from being a Wickersham, Quartet singer, or a coach in short shorts.
- Nic- What are we going to do without you next year? We have loved your excitement and love for everything you do. You have been so fun to watch on stage throughout the last two years. Thank you for being my "assistant vocal coach."
- Tarah- I still remember you playing "Josie Pye" in "Anne of Green Gables." You always come "alive" when you are in front of an audience. Thank you for believing in me when I first came to SVA and took a chance on me!
- Chris- You also took a chance on me and auditioned for my first show at SVA! You have been very busy over the years with sports but always took time to be in one show a year. You have so much talent on stage even though you would drive us crazy with getting your lines memorized!
- Allison- Thank you for investing in SVA Theatre. I am so glad you finally auditioned for "into the Woods." You always work so hard on and off stage. You have grown so much as an actress and singer over these last four years and it is because of your hard work.
- Mara- What am I going to do without next year? You are so thoughtful and think others all the time. Your t-shirt designs for every show have been amazing! Thank you so much for your dedication, compassion, thoughtfulness, and your amazing talent.
- Dawson- You have saved the theatre department thousands of dollars. What I admire the most from you is how passionate you are about dance and theatre. You have such a gift working with people, but you are also amazing on stage as an actor. Thank you for your countless hours you have given SVA.
- Madison- You are the one senior who has helped or participated in every show since theatre started at SVA. Your talent, organization, love of theatre and students amaze me. I am so excited to see you teach one day. Thank you for everything!
Love you All!!!! Brackney and Mama Schnell
