There are no words that can express how honored I am to have been asked to direct this production. I think back to 2001 when I was given the task of being the Assistant Director at 14, doing this show in Glen Cove and at Perfecting Faith Church; I never thought I would sit in the chair as the director.
To my cast: You are all a gift from God! I appreciate the gifts and talents of each of you. With the way rehearsals turned into revivals, I know God has such great things in store for you, and I can't wait to see you step fully into who you are called and created to be.
To my dear sainted mother, thank you for entrusting me with your hard work. I watched you do this and more when I was younger, and I have no idea how you did it! You are a strong example of how to use the arts as ministry.
Sissy, I marvel at how God is continuing to mold you into an even greater leader! Watching you pull the cast together and organize things is incredible. I especially appreciate how God is using you to continue to polish and correct me, in your very loving manner!
To the production staff, Darrell, Lora, and Freddy! Yall are amazing, and this could not be done with out you! Y'all rock!
This show is a relavant today as it was when it was written more than 30 years ago. It calls for us to be in constant reflection of our own walk with Christ. I hope this play was not only a time for you to have a few good laughs, but to take a look out ourselves. Thank you for spending this time with us! May God continue to less you!
