 End Notes

Dear friends and theater enthusiasts,

We are thrilled to welcome you to our special production of William Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew," a collaboration between Rosalind Krabill and Brad DeBorde, all in support of Finn's Place.

As co-directors/producers of this production, we believe in the power of theater to bring people together, create moments of joy, and shed light on important causes. Finn's Place embodies the spirit of compassion and community, providing a haven for those in the trans and gender-diverse community. By attending this performance, you are directly contributing to their invaluable work, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being here tonight.

In this interpretation of "The Taming of the Shrew," we set out to explore the themes of love, understanding, and the evolving roles of gender in society. With Rosalind's unique vision and Brad's passion for Shakespearean comedy, we have sought to create a harmonious blend of classic and contemporary elements that will leave you both amused and contemplative.

Rosalind's approach to the character of Petruchio brings out the complexities of a strong person who challenges the norms of their time. We aim to portray them with depth and sensitivity, shedding light on the journey of self-discovery they embark upon. At the same time, Caleb's exploration of Katherine's character emphasizes the transformation they undergo through love, showcasing the potential for growth and change within all of us.

Our collaboration extends to the entire cast and crew, who have worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life. The chemistry and camaraderie on and offstage have been remarkable, and we couldn't be prouder of the talent and dedication each person has brought to the production.

As you witness the witty banter, tender moments, and uproarious laughter, we hope you'll find yourself both entertained and moved. "The Taming of the Shrew" is a celebration of the human spirit, reminding us that love can transcend differences and lead us to a place of understanding and acceptance.

Lastly, we invite you to join us in showing support for Finn's Place. Your attendance and generosity tonight will make a meaningful impact on the lives of the trans and gender-diverse community of DFW creating a ripple effect of positivity within the community.

Thank you for joining us on this artistic journey, supporting Finn's Place, and celebrating the magic of live theater and air-conditioning! We hope this performance leaves a lasting impression on your heart and soul.

With gratitude and excitement,

Rosalind Loren Krabill & Brad DeBorde
