Something Rotten! - April 26 - May 04, 2024

Saratoga High

 End Notes

Director's Notes

I am so proud to lead a production like this. These students have learned how to work as a team to make all of what you are about to see come to life. Each and every person involved in this production has been working for months to learn their lines and choreography or organize the properties or paint set pieces or design lighting effects or whatever their job(s) have led them to do. As you look through the program, you will see we have a number of students wearing multiple hats. For example, our assistant directors, who have helped tremendously in organizing people, crafting ideas, blocking scenes and fixing problems, are also taking large roles in the play! One of our actors is also part of the lighting design team.

So, again, I have to state how proud I am of this production and this theater department. The students learn the value of hard work, focus, confident speaking and teamwork, among many, many other skills. In this world of technology we live in, it is efforts like these that keep our humanity by telling stories via live interaction with other human beings. Thank you for your support in keeping theater alive in Saratoga. Enjoy the show! - Ben Brotzman
